Frequently asked questions.

Where are you located?

Pet-a-Cure Grooming Boutique is situated east of downtown on Phoenix Rd./County Road 388. We are conveniently located “kitty” corner from Phoenix Road Animal Hospital. Turn onto Beechwood Lane, yellow house, take the second drive. Our salon is in the small gray building.

What types of payment do you accept?

Please note that all grooming services require payment at the time they are provided. Cash, credit, debit and Venmo are acceptable methods.

Are you one-on-one, or will there be other animals in the salon?

Our salon operates on a true one-on-one grooming model. This means your pet receives my full, uninterrupted attention from start to finish. Without the distractions of multiple pets or a busy kennel environment, grooming becomes calmer, safer, and far less stressful for animals—especially those who are anxious, elderly, or new to the process.

For me as a groomer, working one-on-one allows me to focus completely on quality, detail, and your pet’s individual needs. It also helps me maintain a clean, quiet, and relaxed workspace where I can build trust with each pet. This personalized approach ensures a better experience for everyone involved..

How often should my pet be groomed?

This depends on your pet’s breed, coat type, and lifestyle.

  • Short-haired dogs: Every 6–8 weeks

  • Long-haired or curly coats: Every 4–6 weeks

  • Active/outdoor pets: May need more frequent bathing

Regular grooming isn’t just about looks—it helps prevent matting, skin issues, and discomfort.

Do I have to stay during the appointment?

In most cases, pets behave better when their owners are not present. Our one-on-one grooming environment helps keep stress levels low and allows us to give your pet our full attention.

Of course, we understand every pet is different, and accommodations can be discussed if needed.

How long does grooming take?

Timing varies depending on:

  • Coat condition

  • Size and breed

  • Services requested

On average, most appointments take 1.5 to 3 hours in a one-on-one setting.
